Retirement of Director

Chris Skilton will conclude his term as acting Chief Executive Officer of the Suncorp-Metway Limited Group (Suncorp) and retire as a director of SuncorpMetway Limited and related entities effective close of business today, 31 August 2009.

Mr Skilton will remain with Suncorp until 30 November 2009 to assist the new Chief Executive Officer Patrick Snowball.
