Strategic Minerals plc (AIM: SML; USOTC: SMCDY) has today been informed that John Peters, Chairman and CEO of the Company, yesterday acquired on market 1,000,000 ordinary shares in the Company at an average price of 0.57 pence per share (750,000 shares at 0.569p each and 250,000 shares at 0.5789p each).  Following this purchase, Mr Peters has a beneficial interest in 1,000,000 ordinary shares in the Company, representing 0.14% of the Company's issued share capital.
