Changes to Stellar Resources Limited Board of Directors

The Directors of Stellar Resources Limited (ASX: SRZ) announce the appointment of Mr Peter Blight, currently Chief Executive Officer to the board of Directors as Managing Director of the Company and the resignation of Mr Tom Burrowes.

Mr Peter Blight joined Stellar Resources Limited as Chief Executive Officer at the end of 2007. Peter has been responsible for unlocking the value of the Heemskirk Tin Project through the acquisition of the minority interest and by leading a program to evaluate the potential of the project to becoming a producing tin mine.

He has established himself in the broader tin industry as Stellar’s leader and has successfully attracted new cornerstone shareholders to the Company’s share register.

It is appropriate that Peter be appointed as Managing Director, as he is in the best position to take Stellar forward in the development of the Heemskirk Tin Project.

Mr Tom Burrowes was the founding Executive Chairman and served on the board for the past ten years. He brought to Stellar a portfolio of Tasmanian projects, including the acquisition in 2009 of the majority interest in the Heemskirk Tin Project to compliment the Company’s South Australian projects. Tom had been responsible for steering Stellar during a time of very difficult capital markets which included the identification of a potential iron ore project in the Tarcoola region, South Australia and the spin out of the Company’s uranium assets into several listed companies.
