Stellar Board Changes

Stellar Resources Limited is pleased to announce the following changes to its board of directors:

Mr Phillip Harman, currently a Non-executive Director, will assume the position of Nonexecutive Chairman from Mr Tom Burrowes who will remain a Non-executive board member. In addition, the board is delighted to advise that Dr Tom Whiting has agreed to join Stellar as a Non-executive Director.

Dr Whiting is a geophysicist by profession and has over thirty years experience in the exploration sector. From 2000 to 2004, he led BHP Billiton’s global minerals exploration group, having been associated with a number of discoveries during his career with BHP Billiton. Dr Whiting has a clear strategic understanding of the risks associated with mineral exploration and a positive view of the role exploration technologies can play in making new discoveries.

He has fulfilled a leading role in project development as a consultant to Stellar over the past three years and is focused on creating shareholder value from the company’s excellent portfolio of projects. Dr Whiting is a Non-executive Director of recently floated Predictive Discovery Limited and Non-Executive Chairman of the Deep Exploration Technologies Cooperative Research Centre.

Tom Burrowes is the founding Chairman of Stellar Resources Limited. He has made a major contribution to assembling the company’s current portfolio of projects, including providing leadership in the acquisition of the exciting Heemskirk tin project. Tom’s lifelong involvement in the capital markets and his enthusiasm for the mining industry and, in particular, mineral prospecting, means that he will continue to play an invaluable role in forging Stellar’s exciting future.
