Senior Appointment

Stellar Resources is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Peter Blight to the office of Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Peter recently joined the company as General Manager Business Development and has been focusing on the company’s iron ore prospects in the first instance. He brings his extensive experience in the mining industry to this new position.

Peter has 27 years’ experience in the exploration, mining and finance industries. Most recently, he was involved in project development in China and India for the Russian aluminium giant, UC RUSAL. Prior to joining UC RUSAL, he provided commodity and company analysis for the global mining equity business of UBS in London.

This appointment is a first step in the process of separating the CEO's role from that of the Chairman, thus bringing Stellar’s management structure more into line with ASX corporate governance recommendations. Mr Burrowes continues in his role as Chairman of the Company, with continuing executive responsibilities.

Concurrent with Mr Blight’s designation as CEO, a review of the Company’s projects is in progress with work proceeding on a strategy to unlock incremental value for shareholders.
