Following the announcement, on May 25th 2021, of the agreement by Sonae MC SGPS SA to sell its 50% stake in Modelo - Distribuição de Materiais de Construção, SA ("Maxmat"), Sonae SGPS SA hereby announces that this sale is expected to generate capital gains of approximately €40 million, subject to the financial performance of Maxmat until the closing of the transaction.
