Software AG reduces forecast for the first quarter 2002 Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Until now, the company was planning a moderate revenue growth for the first quarter of 2002 of 3 – 5 percent compared with the first quarter of prior year. Based on the most recent forecasts of the sales force, Software AG is now assuming first quarter revenue 2002 to be at the same level as first quarter of 2001 (128,4 million Euro) or slightly below. As a consequence the operating margin (EBITDA) will be reduced to 7 – 9 percent from previously 12 – 14 percent. Software AG will hold its annual press conference in Frankfurt/Main at 10 am on March 6, 2002.
