Other Loss

This represents provision for loss arising on judgment made during the
period on certain claims made in previous years against the Group.

(2) Loss per share

The calculation of the basic loss per ordinary share is based on the
Group's unaudited consolidated loss attributable to the shareholders of
approximately HK$34,690,000 (1999: HK$31,234,000) and the weighted average
number of 3,491,179,375 (1999: 2,702,537,986) ordinary shares in issue
during the six months ended 30th June 2000.

The exercise of the outstanding warrants and convertible notes would have
an anti-dilutive effect on the loss per share and accordingly no fully
diluted loss per share is presented.
