The Finance Act, 2021 has introduced an amendment to section 32 of the Income Tax Act, 1961, whereby Goodwill of a business will not be considered as a depreciable asset and depreciation on goodwill will not be allowed as deductible expenditure effective April 1, 2020.

In accordance with the requirements of Ind AS 12 - Income Taxes, the Company has recognised one time tax expense amounting to ₹1.425 million as the outcome on the difference between Goodwill as per the books of account and its updated tax base of NIL resulting from the aforementioned amendment, in addition to the current tax expense debited to the statement of profit and loss for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. This deferred tax liability is not expected to be a cash outflow in the future and its reversal is deemed unlikely as the value of its associated goodwill is expected by value in use.

मुंबई, दि. २२ (प्रतिनिधी) : "कोरोना संसर्गावर उत्तर प्रदेश सरकारने योग्य ती पाऊले उचलत अभूतपूर्व विजय मिळवले आहे. त्याबद्दल उत्तर प्रदेशचे मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ, उत्तर प्रदेशातील कोरोना योद्धे आणि उत्तर प्रदेशाची जनता यांचे मी अभिनंदन करतो. तसेच महाराष्ट्राचे मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे व महाविकास आघाडीच्या सरकारने उत्तर प्रदेशाचे अनुकरण करून महाराष्ट्रातील जनतेला कोरोनामुक्त करण्याचा प्रयत्न करावा असे आवाहनही मी करत आहे, असे उत्तर प्रदेशचे माजी राज्यपाल राम नाईक यांनी म्हटले आहे.

दोन्ही राज्यातील स्थिती आकडेवारीसह स्पष्ट करताना राम नाईक यांनी म्हटले की, ''भारताच्या लोकसंख्येचा अभ्यास करता महाराष्ट्राची लोकसंख्या देशाच्या ९.४३ टक्के आहे तर उत्तर प्रदेशाची लोकसंख्या एकुण लोकसंखेच्या १६.१४ टक्के आहे. म्हणजेच उत्तर प्रदेशाची लोकसंख्या महाराष्ट्रापेक्षा ६.७१ टक्के जास्त असूनही कोरोनाचा प्रादर्भाव महाराष्ट्रात अधिक आहे. देशात कोरोनाची लागण झालेल्या रुग्णांपैकी महाराष्ट्राची रुग्णसंख्या १९.९५ टक्के आहे तर उत्तर प्रदेशातील रुग्णसंख्या ५.४८ टक्के आहे. म्हणजेच संख्यात्मक आणि तुलनात्मकदृष्ट्या उत्तर प्रदेश हे मोठे राज्य असले तरी तिथला कोरोनाचा प्राद्भांव महाराष्ट्रापेक्षा कमी आहे. उत्तर प्रदेशात जिल्हे ७५ आहेत, त्यापैकी सात जिल्हे कोरोना संक्रमणापासून

मूक्त झाले आहेत. ४१ जिल्ह्यात कोरोना संक्रमणाची नवीन केस आलेली नाही तर ३४ जिल्ह्यात नवीन केस १० पेक्षा कमी आहेत. मात्र, महाराष्टाची जिल्हावार संख्याच उपलब्ध झालेली नाही,'' असे राम नाईक यांनी म्हटले आहे.

''उत्तर प्रदेशाचे मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ यांनी कोरोनावर जवळजवळ पूर्ण नियंत्रण आले असल्यामुळे नागरिकांच्या समस्या ऐकून घेतात. ते जेव्हा लखनौमध्ये असतात त्या दिवशी सकाळी ९ वाजता नागरिकांना मुख्यमंत्री निवासात भेटतात, असा नागरिकांना भेटण्याचा कार्यक्रम महाराष्ट्राचे मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे करीत नाहीत. उत्तर प्रदेश सरकारने सर्व ७५ जिल्ह्यांत कमीत कमी एक मेडिकल कॉलेज काढण्याचा संकल्प केला आहे. त्याप्रमाणे ऑगस्ट महिन्यात उद्घाटनासाठी नऊ मेडिकल कॉलेजेस तयार झाली असून पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्या हस्ते त्यांचे उद्घाटन करण्यात येणार आहे,'' असेही राम नाईक यांनी यावेळी नमूद केले.

मुंबई : मुंबई महापालिका क्षेत्राला पाणीपुरवठा करणाऱ्या सात तलावांच्या पाणीसाठ्यात वाढ झाली आहे. हा पाणीपूरवठा ज्या सात तलावांमधून केला जातो, त्यापैकी मोडक-सागर तलाव हा बुधवारी मध्यरात्री. तर तानसा तलाव हा गरुवारी ओसंडून पहाटे वाहायल सुरुवात झाली होती, असे महापालिका प्रशासनातर्फे सांगण्यात आले.

असा इशारा महाराष्ट्र भाजपचे प्रदेश मुख्य प्रवक्ते केशव उपाध्ये यांनी सरकारला दिला. गुरुवार, दि. २२ जुलै रोजी भारतीय जनता पक्षाच्या प्रदेश कार्यालयात झालेल्या पत्रकार परिषदेत ते बोलत होते.

उपाध्ये यांनी सांगितले की, ''मुंबईतील प्रवासाच्या सूविधेबाबत ठाकरे सरकारकडे धोरण नसल्याने सामान्य माणसाचे अतोनात हाल होत आहेत. सामान्य माणसाला उपनगरी प्रवासास परवानगी देण्यास हरकत नसल्याचे केंद्र सरकारने दोन आठवड्यांपूर्वीच स्पष्ट केले आहे. असे असताना राज्य सरकार सामान्य माणसाला उपनगरी रेल्वे प्रवासास परवानगी देण्याच्या मागणीकडे सातत्याने दुर्लक्ष करीत आहे. टाळेबंदीबाबतच्या

सामान्य माणूस आघाडी सरकारच्या निषेधार्थ मोफत लोकल प्रवास करून सविनय नियमभंग आंदोलन करेल.'

राज्य सरकारचा खोटेपणा न्यायालयात उघड "महाराष्ट्रात ऑक्सिजन अभावी एकही मृत्यू झाला नसल्याचे प्रतिज्ञापत्र राज्य सरकारनेच न्यायालयात दिले असल्याने आघाडी सरकारचा खोटेपणा पून्हा उघड झाला आहे. केंद्र सरकार ऑक्सिजनचा पुरेसा पुरवठा करत नसल्याचे आरोप मुख्यमंत्री व आघाडी सरकारमधील काही मंत्री करत होते. आता न्यायालयात दिलेल्या शपथपत्रामूळे या सरकारने आपल्या खोटेपणाची कबूली दिली आहे,'' असे उपाध्ये यांनी सांगितले.

मुंबई, दि. २२ (प्रतिनिधी): खंडणीप्रकरणी राजीनामा द्यावा लागलेले राज्याचे माजी गृहमंत्री अनिल देशमुख यांनी 'सीबीआय'ने त्यांच्याविरोधात दाखल केलेल्या याचिकेवर गुरुवारी मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयात सुनावणी झाली. राज्याचे माजी गृहमंत्री अनिल देशमुख यांच्यासह राज्य सरकारला मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयाने दणका दिला आहे. 'सीबीआय'ने अनिल देशमुखप्रकरणी दाखल केलेल्या 'एफआयआर' विरुद्ध अनिल देशमुख यांनी न्यायालयात मागितली तसेच दाद होती. 'एफआयआर'मधील आक्षेपार्ह भाग वगळण्याचीही मगणी देशमुख यांनी मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयात केली होती. मात्र, न्यायालयाने या दोन्ही बाबींना स्पष्टपणे नकार दिला आहे.

यांच्यावर गुन्हा दाखल केला होता. तो रद्द करण्याची मागणी करणारे याचिका न्यायालयात दाखल केली होती. अनिल देशमुख यांनी 'सीबीआय'ने दाखल केलेल्या केलेल्या गुन्ह्यावरच आक्षेप घेतलेला असताना राज्य सरकारने त्यातील पोलीस अधिकाऱ्यांच्या बदल्या आणि सचिन वाझे यांच्याबाबत केलेल्या उल्लेखावरही आक्षेप घेतला होता. तसेच हा भाग 'एफआयआर'मधून वगळावा, अशी मागणी मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयाकडे केली होती. मात्र, गुरुवारी झालेल्या

सूनावणीत या दोन्ही याचिका न्यायालयाने फेटाळून लावल्या आहेत. या निकालाला सर्वोच्च न्यायालयात आव्हान देण्यासाठी राज्य सरकार आणि अनिल देशमूख यांच्यावतीने दोन आठवड्यांची स्थगिती मागण्यात आली होती. मात्र, या स्थगितीला 'सीबीआय'तर्फे देशाचे 'सॉलिसीटर जनरल' तुषार मेहता आणि मूळ तक्रारदार डॉ. जयश्री पाटील यांच्यावतीने जोरदार विरोध

करण्यात आला. हा विरोध योग्य या निकालाला मानून स्थगिती देणे हे तपासयंत्रणेच्या तपासावर परिणाम करणारे ठरू शकते असे मत नोंदवत न्यायमूर्ती एस.एस. शिंदे आणि न्यायमूर्ती एन. जमादार यांच्या खंडपीठाने स्थगितीस नकार दिला. त्यामूळे याप्रकरणात आता सखोल चौकशी करण्याचा 'सीबीआय'चा मार्ग
