ESG, SIT wins the 2023 Sustainability Award. First place in the "Top 100 ESG Score" ranking

The award, promoted by Kon Group and Elite (Euronext), is awarded to Italian companies which have distinguished themselves in ESG practices

Padua, October 16, 2023 - SIT secures the top of the ESG podium and confirms itself as a champion company in sustainability practices. The multinational listed on the Euronext Milan segment of the Italian Stock Exchange which creates intelligent solutions for the control of environmental conditions and the measurement of consumption, has won the 2023 Sustainability Award, an award promoted by Kon Group and Elite (Euronext) in partnership with Azimut. The award recognizes Italian companies that have best expressed their ability to innovate, renew and activate the best energies, promoting sustainable, inclusive and stable growth, creating added value for all stakeholders. SIT ranked first in the "Top 100 ESG Score" ranking, reserved for companies with a turnover exceeding 250 million euros, having obtained the highest score in the three areas of the evaluation model (environment, social responsibility, governance).

This award represents further recognition of the validity of the path undertaken by SIT in the field of Sustainability, which has among its fundamental stages the establishment of a dedicated Governance and the definition and implementation of the Sustainability Plan to 2025 - "Made to Matter". Among the most recent achievements worth mentioning:

• the Certification on gender equality, pursuant to UNI/PdR 125:2022;

• the "Verification of the 2021 GHG inventory" by Bureau Veritas, which allowed the organization's Carbon Footprint to be measured in a timely manner according to the UNI EN ISO 14064-1:2019 standard;

• the launch of the supply chain ESG assessment process in collaboration with EcoVadis.

The award ceremony was held on Wednesday evening, 11 October, in Palazzo Mezzanotte in Milan. Chiara de' Stefani, Corporate Sustainability Director of SIT, accepted the award: "The prestigious Sustainability Award 2023, which I received on behalf of SIT, is a source of great satisfaction as it attests to our excellence in all areas of Sustainability: Environment, Social responsibility and Governance. The award demonstrates the approach we have adopted in SIT by involving the entire company and putting sustainable development at the centre of our business. The recognition achieved gives us further motivation and energy to continue along the path undertaken."
