Bhilai, 29[th] November 2025: Simplex Castings Limited (BSE: 513472) India’s leading Precision Metallurgy company is pleased to announce the receipt of a prestigious and highvalue order from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) through Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) . The order involves the supply of critical propulsion-system castings for the 7,500 DWT Multi-Purpose Vessels (MPV) under construction at MDL, reinforcing Simplex’s position as a trusted partner in India’s maritime and defence manufacturing ecosystem.

Order Details:

Simplex Castings will manufacture and deliver Stern Boss Castings, Forward Stern Tube Castings, Test Coupons, and complete documentation sets for six vessels (Yard Nos. 21001– 21006). The order carries a total value of ₹ 4.30 Crores and will be executed within 6–8 months . The scope of work spans design-linked documentation and high-integrity castings conforming to stringent naval specifications, highlighting Simplex’s capabilities in complex metallurgy, precision pattern-making and quality assurance for mission-critical applications.

Speaking on the development, Mr. Ketan Shah, Promoter, Chairman and Executive Director commented: “This order reflects our advanced manufacturing capabilities and reinforces Simplex Castings’ position as a trusted supplier for India’s defence shipbuilding program.
