Semcon invests in Germany
Semcon Project Management has acquired a small German company, Triple-Constraint, and strengthened its range of services in the project management area in Europe.
The acquisition strengthens Semcon's international presence and provides excellent growth potential on the German market with the new company, Semcon Project Management GmbH, located in Berlin. Semcon Project Management is now represented in Sweden, Malaysia, China and Germany and via partners in the UK and Spain.
"This establishment allows us to position ourselves in Europe, not only to strategically support existing customers but also to create a better platform for reaching new customers," says Patrik Bergström, CEO of Semcon Project Management.
The acquisition is also a step towards boosting Semcon's international presence, not least on the important German market, which is mature enough for the range provided by the company. Apart from the existing customer range of training, services and products like PROPS V4, the company will also be able to provide training and services based on the PRINCE2® project method. The acquisition also provides the opportunity to boost sales to new customers in Germany like Vodafone, Lufthansa, Bosch, Siemens, Deutsche Telekom and Bayer.
We hope that within a few years we have become an established player in countries like Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein and Austria. We're also hoping to be able to support customers to a greater extent in other industries where Semcon is active," Patrik concludes.
