Intec Presentation to Sydney Cleantech Network

At this evening’s Sydney Cleantech Network event, Intec Ltd (ASX: INL) is delivering a two-minute ‘pitch’ comprising the attached spoken text and visual presentation.

The Sydney Cleantech Network has been developed by Australian CleanTech to provide a forum for investors, companies, government and academia to meet, learn about the environmental business sector and collaborate. Six organising partners have committed to involvement with the Sydney Cleantech Network during 2010: KPMG, Clayton Utz, Macquarie Capital, Bloomberg New Energy Finance, Griffith Hack and the Australian Securities Exchange.

A video of Philip Wood giving his presentation will be posted on Intec’s web site www. intec.com.au within the next few days.

Yours faithfully Intec Ltd

About Intec Ltd

Intec Ltd is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, the Deutsche Boerse in Germany and the OTCQX in the USA.

The Intec Process comprises a set of patented chloride-based hydrometallurgical processes that have been demonstrated to produce high purity base and precious metals from concentrates of sulphide and oxide ores, tailings and industrial wastes. The Intec Process has substantial environmental and cost advantages over both the widely used conventional smelting and refining processes and other known hydrometallurgical and inorganic waste treatment processes.

Intec has current deals and plans in place for the development of projects for the clean production of high grade products from secondary mineral resources, and for the recycling of metals from industrial wastes, both in Australia and China. In addition, there is significant potential for the international application of Intec’s intellectual property in a wide range of other international locations.

Sydney Cleantech Network Presentation Thursday, 11[th] February 2010 5:30pm

The Intec Process captures valuable metals from industrial wastes to avoid expensive landfill.

Capitalised at just 12 million dollars, Intec’s shares are traded 24 hours a day on the Australian Securities Exchange, the Deutsche Boerse in Europe and the OTCQX in North America. Similarly, our technology is patented in all major global jurisdictions.

We recover contained metals, such as copper, zinc, lead, iron, silver and gold, while recycling valuable non-metallic by-products, thereby providing a ‘zero waste’ solution for a wide range of mineral and industrial feedstocks.

Intec already operates commercially in Tasmania to recycle heavy metals from industrial sludge that had previously been accumulating problematically there over the past 15 years. In Victoria, the Environmental Protection Authority’s HazWaste Fund has provided a $780,000 grant to assist the development of our technology to recycle waste liquors from the galvanizing industry in conjunction with a leading commercial operator in that state.

The vast economy of China has major legacy environmental issues of heavy metal contamination in solid and liquid industrial wastes. However the Chinese have a strong recycling culture and are keen to adopt leading western technologies to clean up their habitat.

Through our Guangzhou office and with a strong registered and protected patent portfolio in China, Intec has teamed up with Hong-Kong based Green Resources. This is the vehicle for our first very large steel industry waste recycling project under development in the city of Liuzhou in Guangxi Province which is then connected to a series of satellite feeder projects in the neighbouring regions.

Intec therefore expects 2010 to be a watershed year in the graduation of our company: from a local technology developer to an international commercial provider of recycling solutions for metalbearing industrial wastes, particularly into the hungry Chinese market.

Please feel welcome to join with us in turning real environmental problems into commodity-based economic returns.
