SciDev Ltd (ASX: SDV) (' SciDev ' or 'the Company ') has secured the first commercial order for PFAS treatment in Europe. Swedish Hydro Solutions AB will provide a PFAS treatment system to remediate a site in Sweden.

Under the A$475k contract, works will involve the design, construction, and commissioning of a containerised PFAS water treatment plant (WTP). The WTP will be initially used to treat PFAScontaminated landfill leachate at a site in the southern part of the country. Upon proof of performance, the work could extend to a second phase.

Swedish Hydro Solutions is a leading Swedish water solutions company focusing on environmentally friendly water treatments.

SciDev CEO Seán Halpin said , "Securing our first commercial order for PFAS remediation in Europe is a significant milestone and demonstrates the demand for our technologies and our capability to sell into new regions.

“The market opportunity in Europe is large and rapidly growing, with more than 17,000 sites around Europe already confirmed for PFAS contamination and another 21,000 sites with suspected contamination.[1] This is the tip of the iceberg. Tightening EU regulations and mandates to clean up PFAS will drive industrial and government landowners to seek cost-effective solutions, creating an ideal and ongoing market for our remediation technology.
