Haldon awarded contract with Sydney’s Gateway Road Project

Highlights

  • Haldon Industries (Haldon) has been awarded the contract to design, construct and commission a Sequencing Batch Reactor Leachate Treatment Plant for Sydney’s $2.6 billion Gateway Road Project

  • Revenue is expected to be approximately $1.5m to $2m over the term of the contract, with activity scheduled to commence in Q4FY21 and complete in Q1FY22

  • SciDev’s acquisition of Haldon was announced on 29 March 2021 and is due to complete prior to end Q4FY21 with conditions precedent being satisfied inline with expectation.

SciDev Limited (ASX:SDV; SciDev, or the Company) is pleased to announced that its proposed acquisition of Haldon Industries (ref ASX: 29 March 2021) is progressing, with completion due prior to the end of the quarter.

Reflecting the significant opportunity in the infrastructure and wastewater verticals, it is pleasing to advise that Haldon has been awarded the contract to design, construct and commission a Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) Leachate Treatment Plant (LTP) for Sydney’s $2.6 billion Gateway Road Project. The project will be conducted on behalf of the John Holland-Seymour Whyte Joint Venture, the NSW Government’s delivery partner for the Gateway Road Project.

Sydney Gateway will provide a high-capacity link from the airport precinct, Port Botany and the surrounding road network to the newly opened St Peters Interchange and is one of the missing pieces of Sydney’s motorway network.

Commenting on the contract, SciDev Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Lewis Utting said: “ Sean, Jake and the team at Haldon are to be congratulated for another major project win.
