Appointment of Vaughan Busby as Independent Chair

The Directors of SciDev Limited (ASX:SDV; SciDev, or the Company) announce the appointment of Mr Vaughan Busby as a Non-executive Director and Independent Chair of the Board.

The appointment takes effect from 9 August 2021 and Mr Busby will stand for election at SciDev's 2021 Annual General Meeting later in the year.

Mr Busby trained as a chemist and has extensive experience as company director, having sat on a number of private and ASX listed boards over the last 15 years. He currently serves as a non-executive director for Energy Queensland Limited, a government owned corporation and the largest energy company in Australia. He is also a non-executive director for EnergyOne (ASX:EOL), a company providing specialist software to the energy industry and Netlogix Group Holdings Limited, a New Zealand based company specialising in supply chain logistics.

Vaughan holds an MBA from the IMD Business School in Switzerland.

Commenting on the appointment, SciDev Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Lewis Utting said: "SciDev have worked through a rigorous selection process to select a new Chair and we are delighted to appoint someone of Vaughan's calibre as a Non-executive Chair of the SciDev Board. Vaughan's approach to strategy, development and execution along with his capital markets experience broadens the Boards' experience and expertise."
