SciDev makes key hires in operations and technical roles

SciDev Limited (ASX: SDV ; SciDev , or the Company ) is pleased to advise that it has made two senior hires to support the company’s growth and business development activities.

• Dale Barron will become the new Chief Operating Officer effective 11[th] November 2019.

• Thomas Rivett has started as Engineering Product Manager effective 14[th] October 2019.

Dale brings to SciDev 25 years’ experience in the mining, water treatment, construction and oil sectors having first worked for Allied Colloids, then Ciba, BASF and most recently Clariant. Dale has held various roles in sales, marketing and general management, based in Indonesia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia. His last role was Country Head Australia and New Zealand, and Head of Mining Asia for Clariant. Dale will use this experience and strong customer focus to support the growth of the SciDev business. Dale holds a B.Sc from UTAS and is a graduate of the AICD.

Thomas is an experienced engineer, having started his career with Rio Tinto North Parkes, becoming Metallurgy Superintendent before moving to Outotec as Head of Technical Support and Thickener Services and later he held the position of Process Engineer at Weir. Most recently, Thomas worked for CleanTeq as a senior metallurgist in Parkes NSW. Thomas will be focussed on further developing the OptiFlox® system for use in other new customer sites and new industries. Thomas holds a B.Eng (Mining) from UNSW.

SciDev Managing Director and CEO Lewis Utting said; “ As the company grows it’s critical that we continue to build the SciDev team with experienced industry people. I’ve worked with Dale in the past during my time at BASF and Thomas has a strong reputation in the industry. Both Dale and Thomas bring significant experience to SciDev which will provide high quality operational leadership and technical skills. This now positions SciDev well to further support our existing customer base and execute technical and commercial evaluations in major markets.
