Appointment of Richard Jenkins as Chairman

The Directors of Intec Ltd (ASX code: INL) announce that they have unanimously appointed Mr Richard Jenkins as Chairman of the Company in conjunction with the decision by Mr Ken Severs to step down from that role. Mr Jenkins was an Executive Director of Macquarie Bank Limited from 1986 – 2001 and served on the Macquarie Bank Limited Executive Committee from 1993. He was then appointed Head of Equities Group and subsequently co-headed Macquarie Investment Bank, formed by the merger of the Equities and Corporate Finance Groups.

Mr Jenkins joined the Intec Board as a Non-executive Director earlier this year. Companies associated with Mr Jenkins hold significant Intec shareholdings: his particular focus as the Sydneybased Chairman will be on maximisation of financial outcomes for all Intec shareholders.

On behalf of the Board of Intec, and all of its staff and shareholders, I would like to offer our most sincere thanks to Mr Severs for the outstanding effort and support he has given in so many ways to the Intec Group over the past decade. Mr Severs will continue as an Intec Non-executive Director based in the UK, but shares the Board's view that the Chairman's duties are best conducted from Sydney, being the location of the Company's headquarters.
