Chairmans Address 2025 AGM

Good morning, shareholders, colleagues and guests, and thank you for joining us today.

It is a privilege to open our 2025 Annual General Meeting, and to provide a clear picture of the strategic environment in which SciDev operates, the scale of the opportunities ahead, and the discipline with which your Board is guiding the company into its next stage of growth.

Our Strategic Context

This past year has continued to create a challenging and volatile business environment. The geopolitical, economic, government and regulatory uncertainty we have experienced has created significant challenges for our business, like so many others. In response to this, FY25 for SciDev has been a year of disciplined reset, improving on our operating rhythm and defining a sharper strategic focus for the Company.

SciDev operates at the intersection of environmental regulation, industrial water management, energy efficiency and ESG accountability. These forces are not cyclical—they are structural. They are shaping the investment decisions of governments, industrial operators, miners, and energy producers worldwide.

In this context, SciDev’s chemistry, engineering and field-execution capabilities are not just relevant—they are increasingly essential. Strategically, SciDev is building a world class water chemistry-based business that can deliver innovative solutions to industries and our customers.

Why Our Capabilities Matter Today

Allow me to highlight the scale of the markets where SciDev is competing and winning:

– - 1. PFAS Remediation A Large, Global, Multi Decade Spend

PFAS has moved rapidly from scientific concern to regulatory mandate. Globally, governments and operators must act.

  • Estimated A$3-6 billion per year in global PFAS treatment and remediation expenditure

  • Accelerating action in Australia across defense, aviation, water utilities and state regulators

  • Creating access through direct build and strategic partnerships in the US and UK/Europe markets

  • A multi-decade remediation horizon driven by mandatory standards, environmental regulations and consumer expectations.

SciDev’s deployable, chemistry-led solutions position the company at the forefront of one of the most significant emerging environmental investment cycles.

– – 2. Industrial Water Treatment A Global A$70 80 Billion Market with potential to exceed A100 Billion

within the decade

Across mining, infrastructure and manufacturing, water is now recognised as a strategic asset.

Customers demand solutions that:

  • Reduce freshwater intake

  • Increase recycling

  • Ensure compliance

  • Improve plant performance

SciDev sits directly in this growing, recurring and long-duration market.

– 3. Energy Sector Water Management A Mandatory Spend Category

Produced water and completions fluids are major cost drivers for energy operators.

  • A$12–17billion annual global spend in produced-water treatment and completions fluid chemistry

  • North America remains the world’s most active completions-fluid chemistry market

  • Potential expansion into Australia’s onshore energy sector

SciDev’s tailored chemistry, including our proprietary product Catcheck, gives us direct access to this high-volume market.

Board Focus and Governance Priorities

The Board continues to ensure the company is governed with discipline, transparency and a focus on long-term shareholder value.

Our priorities this year have been:

  • Strengthening Board and Company leadership capabilities

  • Driving capital discipline

  • Aligning investment with proven commercial opportunities

  • Ensuring our risk, safety and regulatory frameworks remain robust

  • Supporting a performance culture aligned to execution and cash generation

  • Simplifying governance and ensuring clarity of management accountability

We remain focused on building a company that grows sustainably, delivers reliable outcomes, and allocates capital responsibly.

Company Position and Outlook

FY25 strengthened SciDev’s foundation. While I will leave the detailed financial and operational results to Seán, I can report that overall the company has entered FY26 with:

  • sharper strategic focus

  • stronger balance sheet

  • individual/organizational and leadership capability

  • greater commercial discipline

  • clear momentum in key growth markets, particularly Energy, PFAS and complex-water treatment

Across all sectors, customers are moving away from transactional chemical purchasing and toward multi-year, outcome-based contracts.

Our ambition at SciDev is to access the market scale, combined with the regulatory tailwinds and consumer expectations, and leverage SciDev’s differential water chemistry-based + engineering + field execution capabilities. This will enable us to create sustainable, high quality earnings and growth.

The Board has reaffirmed full-year FY26 revenue guidance of A$120 million to A$140 million, supported by a growing pipeline of opportunities.

Acknowledgements

I want to acknowledge the SciDev team for their commitment during a year of consolidation. Their technical capability and field execution continue to differentiate the company.

I also thank our shareholders for their continued support. SciDev is better positioned today than at any time in recent years to convert global market tailwinds into sustainable shareholder value.

Close

The Board of SciDev Ltd authorises this announcement.
