SAS Group's December 2010 traffic figures

SAS Group's December 2010 traffic figures

. SAS Group's traffic (RPK) increased by 14.3% during December and

capacity (ASK) increased 9.1% vs same period 2009.

. The passenger load factor improved to a December record of 73.0% and a

full year record of 74.2%.

Group market trends, RASK and yield development

RASK during November was up 1.2% reflecting improvement in the load

factor and positive cargo development. Yield was down 8.4% but adjusted

for the increase in stage length due to more intercontinental capacity

the yield was down 5-6%. The passenger yield and RASK in December are

expected to continue the trend with flattish RASK development but

continued yield pressure.

The market remains unpredictable particularly regarding the yield

development due to overcapacity in certain markets, but due to improved

load factors RASK has been relatively stable. A recovery has been noted

on intercontinental, domestic and certain European routes. Scandinavian

Airlines is continuously improving its premium product and a noticeable

increase in customer satisfaction has been achieved. The implementation

of the cost saving program is on track.
