Chief Commercial Officer Karl Sandlund leaves SAS

Today, SAS Executive Vice President and CCO, Karl Sandlund announced that he

will leave SAS for a new position outside the company.

"Karl has been at SAS since 2004 and it is with regret, I see him leave. He has

been a key player in many different areas of the company for the past 18 years.

Both from a personal and professional level I'm grateful for how Karl introduced

me to SAS when I joined last year.  I am sure that his drive and passion for

society is something his new company will value as well. I wish him all the best

in his future endeavors", says Anko van der Werff, President & CEO of SAS.

"It's with mixed feelings I am leaving SAS. It has been a fantastic journey and

I have held different exciting positions within the company throughout the

years. The changes we have seen and the movement toward a more sustainable

aviation industry with SAS in leading position are close to my heart. I have now

accepted an irresistible opportunity in a company promoting excellence and

opportunities for our next generation which is something I highly value. I like

to thank my colleagues at SAS for their engagement and support throughout the

years and I will closely follow the developments of SAS FORWARD, our plan which

will ensure a sustainable future for this fantastic company", says Karl

Sandlund, CCO of SAS.

SAS will now start the recruitment process of his successor. Karl will leave the

company   at the latest at the beginning of October.
