Electrocomponents plc is pleased congratulate Rupert Soames, a Non‑Executive Director of the Company, on his appointment as Group Chief Executive of Serco Group plc, with effect from the date of this announcement.  

Rupert resigned as Group Chief Executive of Aggreko plc and left after their Annual General Meeting on 24 April 2014.

This announcement is being made pursuant to 9.6.14 of the Listing Rules
