Highlights:

  • Delta Drone International’s ‘Rocketmine’ brand to manage end-to-end mine surveying and mapping services for a subsidiary of the world's largest producer of platinum, Anglo American Platinum Limited, in Mogalakwena, South Africa

  • 2021 contract generating approximately A$120,000 revenue

  • Delta Drone International will provide drone-based survey mapping, blast monitoring and inspection services

20 July 2021 – Drones-as-a-service provider Delta Drone International (ASX:DLT) and its mining specialist brand, Rocketmine, has secured a deal for survey mapping, blast monitoring and inspection services with Rustenberg Platinum Mines Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Anglo American Platinum Limited, the world’s largest producer of platinum, at its Mogalakwena site in South Africa.

The agreement, worth approximately A$120,000, will see Rocketmine’s mining specialist pilots and state-of-the-art drone fleet this year manage the end-to-end survey mapping, blast monitoring and inspection requirements for the mine, delivering rapid, accurate data.

Delta Drone International CEO, Christopher Clark, said he believed Rocketmine could add real value to the mining multi-national as their preferred data services provider:

“We welcome the Anglo American Platinum group to Rocketmine and look forward to delivering their real-time data needs through our fully integrated drone-as-a-service business.”

“This appointment is testament to our drones-as-as-service model that includes a tailored data solution specifically for the mining industry. Outsourcing aerial requirements to Rocketmine not only eliminates the challenges that come with inhouse aerial data collection such as rapid technology advancements and adhering to rules and regulations, but importantly provides access to a team of highly skilled individuals who embed themselves in daily operations to help solve a magnitude of data challenges businesses face.”

“We are very pleased with the momentum of new client wins being achieved by Delta Drone and continue to look forward with a high level of confidence. As drones are increasingly used at the forefront of data collection for enterprise businesses, our business is well positioned to work with more companies to help solve their day-to-day data challenges.”

This announcement has been authorised for release by the Board of Delta Drone International Limited.
