  • Services to be delivered seven days per week from RocketDNA’s Remote Operating Centres (ROCs) in Perth and Adelaide

  • Reflects growing market demand for RocketDNA’s integrated drone, AI, and remote data solutions in the mining sector

18 August 2025, RocketDNA Ltd (ASX: RKT ) ( RocketDNA or the Company ), a technology services company specialising in AI-powered drone solutions, is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, RocketDNA (WA) Pty Ltd, has secured a three-year purchase order to supply its autonomous xBot® surveying system to the Gruyere Gold Mine, a 50:50 joint venture between Gold Road Resources Ltd (ASX: GOR) and Gold Fields Ltd (JSE: GFI) which is set to become 100% owned by Gold Fields upon completion of a recently announced acquisition.

The contract includes the supply and maintenance of a SurveyBot® drone-in-a-box system, remote piloting services, and access to RocketDNA’s SiteTube® visualisation platform. The integrated solution enables daily autonomous drone flights, with data securely delivered to site managers and engineers via cloud-based systems.

Managing Director & CEO of RocketDNA, Christopher Clark, commented:

“We are excited to partner with Gold Fields in helping them deliver on their productivity and safety goals at Gruyere, through the on-site deployment of our SurveyBot® and our SiteTube® tools, which will deliver a complete operational intelligence solution, providing autonomous aerial coverage and support for their survey and open-pit teams.

This long-term agreement reflects the growing demand for remote autonomous data services and underscores the strategic value of our xBot® platform within the day-to-day operations of Tier 1 mining customers.”

The solution integrates:

The xBot® system is a site-ready autonomous drone platform featuring a DJI Enterprise dock, advanced communications (ethernet, WiFi, cellular, Starlink), power management, CCTV, and weather monitoring systems. The unit is built to operate autonomously and is monitored remotely by RocketDNA’s CASA-certified pilots.

At Gruyere, the SurveyBot® will deliver:

  • Daily high-resolution imagery and video for remote site visibility

  • Live-stream capabilities for off-site management and planning teams

The integration of these services is expected to generate significant operational efficiencies, improving data turnaround times, and enabling informed decision-making from remote locations.

About Gruyere

Gruyere is a 50:50 joint venture between Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources in Western Australia’s Yamarna Belt. The mine operates on a large scale as a low-grade open-pit operation, with ore processed through a 9.6Mtpa carbon-in-leach plant. First gold was poured at Gruyere in 2019.

In May this year, Gold Fields entered into an agreement to acquire 100 per cent of Gold Road Resources via a Scheme of Arrangement. The transaction remains on track for completion in October 2025.
