II. RESULTS OF THE SAME PERIOD LAST YEAR

1. Net profit: Rmb34,088,000

2. Profit per share: Rmb0.05

III. REASONS FOR THE DECREASE IN RESULTS

The decrease is mainly attributable to the decreased product selling prices due to intensified market competition, as well as a noticeable rise in cost due to the escalating prices of raw materials and fuels.
