APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

The Directors of Homeloans Limited are pleased to announce the appointment of Jarrod Smith as a director of the Company on the 5th April 2006.

Jarrod joined Homeloans Limited as its Chief Financial Officer in January 2002. Since that time he has been a key part of the company's executive team and has been instrumental in the company's recent cost cutting initiatives and the increasing penetration of Homeloans Ltd's proprietary funding line.

Prior to joining Homeloans Ltd Jarrod was a Director of Westpac Institutional Bank where he was responsible for running the securitisation business as well as working in the Advisory and Equities area.

Jarrod has a Bachelor of Commerce (UNSW) A Masters of Business Administration (AGSM) and is a graduate of both the Securities Institute of Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
