Business Media China AG holds first international uranium conference and exhibition in China

Business Media China AG / Miscellaneous

Stuttgart, March 14, 2007: Business Media China AG (ISIN DE0005250401,
German Securities Code 525040) is a specialist for media and marketing in
China and is planning to host the first international uranium conference
and exhibition in China. This trade fair will be called CHINA URANIUM and
will be run from October 9 – 10, 2007 in the Crowne Plaza View Hotel,
Beijing. Business Media China AG (BMC AG) has gained the support of the
Chinese company Beijing Creative Intelligence Exchange Centre for this
venture. This company’s owners have particularly strong ties to the
Chinese/Australian uranium production and mining business. The event will
be supported by the state organizations China National Nuclear Corporation
(CNNC) and China Atomic Energy Agency (CAEA).

The trade fair will be hosted by Hong Kong-based BMC-TBG Limited. BMC AG’s
parent company, Mesago Holding Operations GmbH (MHO) formed BMC-TBG as a
joint venture together with the Balloch Group, a well-known Beijing-based
consulting and communications company for mining and commodities. MHO plans
to sell its 51% interest in the joint venture to BMC AG this year. In
future, BMC-TBG will also host the well-known CHINA MINING and issue the
MINING journal, which enjoys international success. This would mean that
BMC AG holds a majority interest in a company which, with the support of
the Chinese government, exclusively occupies two of the key topics in
Chinese industry: mining and uranium mining and imports to China.

The background is the strong growth in the importance of nuclear power for
China. The Chinese government is planning to build 25 to 30 nuclear power
plants during the next 13 years. In order to cover its future requirements
for uranium, the government is searching the world over for opportunities
to invest in uranium production projects and for purchasing agreements with
the primary exploration nations of Australia, Canada and Kazakhstan. BMC AG
is also forecasting strong demand as a result of these political
developments. Around 300 national and international exhibitors are expected
to attend the first trade fair. Visitors can find out about China’s nuclear
power policy or get to know the latest uranium production technologies.

'We already host Asia’s leading mining and commodities event with CHINA
MINING. We plan to link in to this success with CHINA URANIUM. These two
events have similar content, which will result in major synergies which we
will use in future,' commented Klaus Michael Hilligardt, Business Media
China’s CEO.
