MT MAGNET GOLD PLANT BACK AT 100% CAPACITY
The Board of Ramelius Resources Limited (ASX:RMS) is pleased to provide the following update on its Mt Magnet gold operation in Western Australia.
On Saturday, 8[th] February 2014, the reconditioned 1,650kW electric motor that drives the ball mill at Mt Magnet’s Checkers gold processing plant was re-installed and is operating as expected. This has returned the processing plant to 100% capacity, after operating for the past three months at approximately 85% capacity.
Mining at the Western Queen South open pit has continued uninterrupted since remediation of the wall slip late in 2013 and an estimated 27,000 tonnes @ 4.0g/t was mined in January 2014. Mining is expected to be complete by the end of February 2014 with a further 40,000 tonnes @ 4.1g/t to be extracted and stockpiled. Approval for larger road-train configurations has been received and haulage tonnages increased to a level where Western Queen South high grade ore will now contribute approximately 20% of total tonnes processed at Mt Magnet until June 2014.
Further details will be provided in the March 2014 Quarterly Activities Report.
