Outstanding Increase in USA Sales

The Directors of Medical Monitors Limited (ASX: MDM) are pleased to advise that Primedical International (Primedical) has placed an order for a further 20,000 ECG monitoring units, in addition to the 10,000 units already announced. This will generate more than USD$1,000,000 (AUD$1,300,000) in sales revenue to MDM over the next three to six months.

Primedical is the exclusive holder of license and distribution rights for MDM products and service for the USA. Medical Monitors has a direct benefit from both the manufacture and supply of devices (the suPER) and a rovalty stream from Primedical, which is estimated at USD $300,000 (AUD$390,000).

Primedical's USA-based ECG monitoring business has significantly exceeded the expectations in its Business Plan for the first year of operation. Further sales are anticipated through secured contracts, to supply ECG units and monitoring service to a number of major medical clinics across the USA. Medical Monitors' technology and service model remains superior to the current market offerings in transtelephonic (telephone transfer) cardiac monitoring

"The take-up rate of our product has created a sales surge beyond our expectations and represents more than 500% of the original budget for this financial year", added Dr Shell.

MDM is well placed to take a substantial share of the lucrative US arrhythmia monitoring market, estimated to be valued at approximately USD$550 million per annum. This technology allows doctors to remotely monitor the cardiovascular health of their patients and has already been granted United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) registration to enable marketing and sales.
