Global Economic Overview

By tariff rates announced successively , global economy is on a path to stabilization.

• The IMF has raised its 2025 global economic growth forecast to 3%, a 0.2 percentage point upward revision from earlier repot.

• With tariff cuts in countries, the economy is stabilizing, but many risks remain, including fiscal deficits and interest rate.

Trump's policies impact the economic, while U.S. economic data reveals potential concerns.

• The U.S. reported an unemployment rate of 4.2 %, and NFP increased by 73 thousand (people) in July. Tariff policies have a far-reaching impact, leading companies to become more conservative in their expansion and investment.

• The U.S. had announced a CPI annual growth rate of 2.9% in July, indicating that inflation has gradually improved.

China's economy has support, but internal and external risks remain unsolved.

• China’s GDP growth rate is 5.2% in 2024Q2, reflect early shipments prompted by tariffs and supportive fiscal policies.

Taiwan's economic growth is strong in Q2, and AI's development shows impressive trend .

• The Directorate General of Budget has estimated that the economic growth rate is 8.01% in 2025Q2, owing to the export annual growth of 42% in July .

Brokerage market share saw year-over-year growth. In the current quarter, we strengthened the functionality of our e-trading platform to improve customer app utilization and satisfaction.

Market Promotion

New activity Invites new clients to join eAccount or Umoney, which will not only enjoy a convenient onestop investment experience, but also have a chance to receive gift vouchers.

The stock market plummeted due to headwinds like tariffs, and the subsequent inconsistency in Trump's policies created uncertainty. Conservative approach had adapted this quarter to mitigate risk and were able to appropriately capture returns from the AI trend.

Operational Strategy

Looking forward, the impact of Trump's policies is faded, while AI demand is revised upward. The department will assess market risks and make timely investment arrangements, while closely monitoring market dynamics to adjust operational strategy.

Operating Strategy

U.S. Treasury yields have been bumpy because of tariffs and interest rates. On the other hand, relaxed fiscal policy and advances in trade talks have boosted credit bonds, creating solid profits for department.

Market Outlook

Employment and inflation are impacting the Fed's interest rate decisions. Going forward, we will adjust our trading strategies in a timely manner and manage the risk of our positions.

Underwriting Business

Underwriting Performance

Underwriting volume stayed stable in the first half. But because cases were more spread out this year, our market share of underwriting value dropped compared to the same time last year.

Development Strategy

The department actively expand the market and continue to submit IPOs for approval. The expected underwriting deals and revenue is going to exceed last year.

Wealth Management

Investment Trust

The scale of trust assets reached 17 billion. The rate of Overseas stocks has grown by 182% compared to 2024. Offshore Structured Notes has grown by 60% compared to last year.

Marketing Campaign

Launched the "Overseas Stock Hot Summer" campaign to encourage the diversification of asset allocation. Also, planning to build TISA account service on trust platform, responding to the savings and investment policy.

Business Profile

The net asset value per share ranks 6th among futures proprietary traders. This season continues to conduct market-making, futures and spot arbitrage, and ETF arbitrage to manage market volatility.

The incorporate trading models with varying risk profiles to develop our overall departmental strategy, with the goal of improving investment performance and reducing risk.

Market Share

The Equity Options Business maintains its position as the 2nd market share holder, while the volume of Structured Notes secures a market share ranking of 2nd. Additionally, the issuance of call (put) warrants attains a market share ranking of 8th.

Marketing Campaign

Beside providing investors with more options for warrants, the department keep enhancing system functions, in order to handle the continuous growth in trading volume..
