Barryroe Executive Appointments

Dublin and London - 1st February 2023 - The Board of Barryroe Offshore Energy P.l.c. (BEY), the Irish based energy company, is pleased to announce it has today confirmed the appointment of Alan Curran as Chief Executive.  Alan Curran has held the role of Interim Chief Executive since 4th July 2022.

The Board is also pleased to announce that Colin Christie has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer-Elect from 1st February 2023. Colin had joined the Barryroe team as Corporate Finance Advisor in November 2022.

As announced on 13th December 2022, Chief Financial Officer, Simon Brett, will step down on 28th February 2023. Colin and Simon will work closely on a smooth handover of responsibilities and duties over the coming weeks.

Alongside the agreement reached in November 2022 and as updated on the 19th January, for a €40 million Convertible Loan Note that put in place funding for the Barryroe appraisal programme, which remains subject to Ministerial consent, these appointments further underscore the Board's commitment to pursue fully the potential of the Barryroe Field.
