Pointerra awarded US$2 million US DOE Contract Extension

Pointerra Limited (ASX: 3DP, “Pointerra” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a US$2 million (A$3.2 million) contract extension by the US Department of Energy (DOE) to an existing R&D program (Program), previously announced on 28 June 2024.
Program Details
Pointerra has been selected to undertake a hurricane impact analysis program that will help provide best practices for regional utilities to optimize their resource allocation strategies, reduce the duration of power outages after such extreme events, and enhance the overall resilience of the power grid.
Under the hurricane impact analysis Program, Pointerra will use 2D and 3D data to generate digital twins of electric utility grids in hurricane affected areas; develop a change detection model that demonstrates impacts from recent hurricanes on the assets of the grid in the affected areas; provide an overall analysis of hurricane impacts on the grid assets with relation

to the hardening strategies employed; and compile results and methodologies in a report demonstrating best practices that can be implemented by other utilities facing the same level of extreme events that will be made publicly available, as well as a webinar to discuss the findings.
The award of this contract extension further highlights Pointerra's profile and credibility in the US electric utility sector. The Program results will again produce a best practice approach that the DOE intends to be scalable across multiple regions throughout North America.
This Program extension provides Pointerra further invaluable exposure and validation of its Pointerra3D digital twin solution for the US electric utility sector, which is collectively engaged in multi-billion dollar, multi-year grid resilience investment programs.
Contract Details
The US Department of Energy’s Grid Deployment Office, via its Partnership Intermediary DEFENSEWERX (doing business as ENERGYWERX) has the primary objective to provide services for the DOE. ENERGYWERX is the contracting counterparty for the Program.
Pointerra will be paid by ENERGYWERX on a Program milestone completion basis, with the Program expected to be complete by 31 December 2025. The Company will incur its normal and typical operating costs for delivering programs of this nature.
The contract award is subject to normal commercial terms and conditions, including nonperformance termination clauses.
