US Army Geospatial Center - GRIDS IV Contract Awards

Pointerra Limited (ASX: 3DP, “Pointerra” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that the US Army Geospatial Center (AGC) has awarded spots to eight prime contract teams on the GRIDS IV (Geospatial Research, Integration, Development and Support IV) program. Pointerra is a subcontractor to the Leidos team, one of the selected prime contract award teams. Leidos is a leading US defense sector contractor.
GRIDS IV Program Details
The GRIDS IV program is a US Army initiative managed by the AGC under the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). It is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract with a ceiling value of US$499 million, running through May 4, 2030. The program aims to provide advanced geospatial research, integration, development, and support services to enhance the Army’s geospatial capabilities for warfighters, commanders, and other Department of Defense components.

GRIDS IV focuses on delivering real-time, actionable geospatial intelligence by developing and integrating geospatial systems, algorithms, and data. It supports missions like terrain mapping, enemy movement prediction, autonomous vehicle guidance, and disaster relief, with applications across regions such as US Northern Command, Africa Command, and Indo-Pacific Command.
The program builds on previous iterations (GRIDS I–III), expanding from research-focused contracts to broader integration and operational support. It emphasizes AI, machine learning, and rapid data integration to address modern warfare’s demand for real-time intelligence.
The program addresses gaps in real-time data delivery and system integration, aiming to provide seamless geospatial tools for complex battlefields and humanitarian missions.
Historical context:

GRIDS I (2010): A $43 million single-award contract to BAE Systems for geospatial research.

GRIDS II (2014): A $48 million contract to three contractors, expanding to include enterprise system integration.

Potential implications for Pointerra
Consistent with previous GRIDS programs, GRIDS IV is a task order–based program vehicle, which means that any revenue generated under the contract will depend on specific task orders being issued by the AGC, some of which may include the use of Pointerra3D, and some of which may not.
The total ceiling for the overall program is US$499 million, which represents the upper limit of task order capacity, not a guaranteed spend by the AGC.
The next phase of GRIDS IV involves the prime contractors entering into negotiations with the AGC to finalise their individual contract terms, a process we anticipate will take approximately 3 to 4 months.
Following that, Leidos will coordinate directly with its subcontracting team, including Pointerra, to determine potential opportunities and tasking opportunities.
AGC and its partners are significant ongoing consumers of LiDAR and geospatial data more generally, where Pointerra3D can provide considerable value by delivering situational awareness and mission critical geospatial insight at unprecedented speed and scale, through the use of its world-class digital twin platform Pointerra3D.
The Company is optimistic about the potential to support the US AGC, the USACE and other key defense stakeholders through this contract vehicle.
This announcement has been approved by the Board.
