The following is a company announcement issued by Plaza Centres plc ("The Company") pursuant to the Malta Financial Services Authority Listing Rules.

The Board of Directors of the Company sadly announces the sudden passing away of Mr Lionel Lapira, the Chief Executive Officer and Company Secretary. The Board of Directors expresses its sincere condolences to Mr. Lapira's family. A meeting of the board of directors has been convened for Friday the 5" January 2018 to determine how best to address the situation in the short term and to make such appointments, even if on an interim basis, as it considers appropriate in the circumstances for the continued executive management of the company. Further announcements will be made following the board the meeting.
