APPOINTMENT OF TECHNICAL DIRECTOR AND PROJECT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Elysium Resources Limited (“Elysium” or "Company") (ASX:EYM), advises that it has enhanced its senior management team. The proposed production at Lloyds Mine, near Burraga, NSW is anticipated to provide a robust cash flow over 5+ years which will be invested in un-locking the significant upside potential at its Australian and Indonesian tenements. In order to execute its strategy of moving into production at the Lloyds Mine and to facilitate the ambitious exploration programmes in the adjoining tenements in NSW, WA and at its South Malang project, the following appointments have been made.

Board Appointment

Mr Neb Zurkic has been appointed to the Board as Technical Director of Elysium after serving as Chief Technical Advisor to the board. Mr Zurkic is a graduate of RMIT University, with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geology and holds a Masters in Mineral and Energy Economics from Macquarie University. He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) and a Registered Professional Geoscientist member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists. Mr Zurkic has held a variety of senior management and executive level positions at both small and large mineral resource companies with interests in Australia, South America, SE Asia and Africa. His 24 year career began with Perseverance Corporation Ltd, where Neb was instrumental in developing the sulphide resource at the Fosterville Gold Project which is now Victoria's largest gold producer. In 1999 Mr Zurkic worked on the commissioning of the massive Batu Hijau copper-gold project for Newmont Mining Corporation. With the Indonesian project reaching steady state Mr Zurkic moved to Newmont’s Yanacocha Gold Project in Peru in 2004; in 2005, Yanacocha was the largest single site gold mine in the world with a reported 3.3Moz produced. Mr Zurkic established his consultancy business in 2007 where he continued to provide support to a number of Newmont's operations and advanced exploration projects. Providing services to the smaller resource companies lead to Mr Zurkic joining the board of Republic Gold Ltd (ASX:RAU) in late 2007 where he directed the technical teams in Queensland and NSW, and successfully managed the completion of the feasibility study for the 1.2Moz Amayapampa Gold Project in Bolivia. Since mid-2011, he has focussed on his consulting business and building value at the Lloyds Mine project at Burraga which is Elysium's flagship project.

Project Appointment

Mr Dean Pontin has been appointed Project Development Manager for the Burraga Copper Project (Lloyds Mine). Mr Pontin is a graduate of Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Surveying and holds a Graduate Diploma in Mining from Ballarat University. He is a member of the AusIMM, holds Mine Managers Certificates in Indonesia and PNG, and has a proven track record in mining and construction activities. and long-term planning and engineering, mine operations supervision, environmental engineering, budgeting, project work as well as contractor negotiation and supervision. A 26 year career has included being an integral part of the commissioning of three major projects, namely Newmont Mining Corporation's Batu Hijau coppergold project in Indonesia, Lane Xang Mineral's Sepon Project in Laos and most recently, as the Operations Manager for the Toka Tindung Gold Project in Indonesia.
