provider SmartTrans
Holdings
Limited (ASX:
SMA)
(‘SmartTrans’
or
‘the
Company’) is
pleased
to announce
that
the
Company
has
recently
expanded
its
Direct
Carrier
Subscription
billing
service into
Gansu
Province
in
China.
With
the
latest
addition
SmartTrans
now
has
billing
reach
to
over 416,974,000
mobile
phone
users
in
six
major
provinces
in
China.
SmartTrans
has
now
secured
Direct
Carrier
Billing
service
agreements
with
both
China
Mobile
and China
Telecom
in
six
provinces
(see
Figure
1
overleaf)
with
more
provinces
expected
to
be secured
in
FY2016.
The
expansion
of
the
Direct
Carrier
Billing
service
into
some
of
China’s
major
provinces
reflects the
execution
of
the
Company’s
plan
to
strategically
scale
up
its
reach
to
consumers
through
the SmartPay
platform
while
also
serving
to
diversify
and
enhance
its
revenue
streams.
SmartTrans
is
also
confident
that
the
expansion
of
the
Direct
Carrier
Billing
service
will
help
grow the
passive
and
recurring
revenue
streams
that
it
has
achieved
with
SmartPay
and
build
and maintain
the
strong
month-‐on-‐month
customer
retention
rate
of
over
85%
for
its
subscription billing
products.
The
Company
is
further
encouraged
by
the
fact
that
the
expansion
of
its
reach
through
SmartPay comes
at
a
time
when
China
is
anticipated
to
become
the
largest
4G
mobile
market
in
the
world this
year,
with
400
million
4G
users
predicted
by
the
end
of
2015,
the
vast
majority
in
provinces where
it
already
operates
(as
shown
in
the
map
below).
These
consumers
are
an
excellent
fit
for SmartTrans
and
the
data-‐rich
smartphone
Apps
and
content
it
offers
via
SmartPay.
Commenting
on
the
latest
SmartPay
roll
out,
SmartTrans
Managing
Director,
Bryan
Carr,
stated: “The
expansion
of
our
Direct
Carrier
Billing
service
into
Gansu
with
China
Telecom
is
further validation
of
our
growth
strategy
in
China
and
our
ability
to
immediately
access
the
very
large pool
of
consumers
that
are
increasingly
transacting
through
smartphone
devices.
This
is
what
is driving
SmartTrans’
underlying
revenue
growth.
“We
have
already
started
booking
revenue
in
Gansu
with
content
being
marketed
and
sold
to China
Telecom’s
customer
base
in
that
province.
“With
a
presence
in
six
provinces,
we
now
have
access
to
a
very
large
pool
of
consumers.
This
will only
increase
as
we
enter
new
provinces
in
FY2016
and
expand
the
content
and
billing opportunities
across
all
provinces
in
which
we
have
a
presence.”
