The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Nordex AG continues its profitable growth Third quarter report for 2000/01 published / Sales plus 19% / Ebit plus 4.7% Hamburg, 30 August 2001. Wind power turbine manufacturer Nordex AG boosted sales in the first nine months of fiscal (1 Oct. 00 – 30 Jun. 01) by 19 percent to Euro 217 million (Euro 183 million) compared to the prior year period. At the same time, the company raised its order inflow by 56 percent to Euro 295 million (Euro 189 million). Despite substantial one-off expenses for investments in the set up of a rotor blade production facility and expansion of its international sales organization the result, too, took a positive course. At the end of the third quarter, Ebit reached Euro 8.9 million (Euro 8.5 million). For the current fiscal year, Nordex expects total revenues of around Euro 350 million. This is equivalent to a growth of about 30 percent compared to fiscal 1999/2000. Ebit will reach last year’s level. This is mainly attributable to the one-off expenses for the rotor blade production facility and restructuring costs to prepare the company’s IPO in April 2001. Ebit is to be improved again in the coming fiscal years by extending the value chain, through optimized integration of the subsidiaries and economies of scale in production.
