April, Stefan Klebert (37) has been appointed Chairman of the Management Board of Nordex AG. Yesterday (Wednesday) Klebert was released from his current post as Chairman of the Management Board of the Haushahn Group and managing director of Schindler Deutschland Holding. This was the condition for his appointment to the Nordex AG Management Board, which was already effected on March 31, 2003. End of July Klebert will take up his position. In this graduate mechanical engineer and MBA Nordex is now headed by a manager with wide experience in the restructuring of companies. As managing director, Klebert moved the Haushahn Group back into profit territory in a declining market. As a result of this achievement he was awarded the “Top 100” prize under the auspices of Fraunhofer president Prof. Dr. Warnecke for the 100 most innovative small and medium-sized companies. He is now faced with similar challenges at Nordex. “The wind industry is still an expanding market, but growth has slowed down for the first time in years. We have to adapt to this situation and re-orientate some parts of the company. Nordex has commerced this process and we, the Management Board, will be consistently continuing this together”, said Klebert. At the German market leader for elevators and escalators, Klebert was responsible for, among other areas, the entire new investment business of the Schindler Group in Germany. This holding company earned revenues of EUR 500 mn with 3,500 employees. Up to 1999, Klebert has previously worked for Festo AG for eight years, a very internationally oriented group for automation engineering, his last position was head of international Key Account Management. With this new appointment the Nordex Management Board is once again complete.
