POSITIVE PROFIT ALERT

This announcement is made by Niche-Tech Semiconductor Materials Limited (the “ Company ”, together with its subsidiaries, the “ Group ”) pursuant to Rule 17.10 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on GEM of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “ GEM Listing Rules ”) and the Inside Information Provisions (as defined in GEM Listing Rules) under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

The board (the “ Board ”) of directors (the “ Directors ”) of the Company wishes to inform the shareholders of the Company (the “ Shareholders ”) and potential investors that, based on the information currently available to the Board and a preliminary review of the draft unaudited consolidated management accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022 (the “ Year ”), the Group is expected to record a profit attributable to owners of the Company of approximately HK$8.6 million for the Year as compared to the profit attributable to owners of the Company of approximately HK$6.8 million for the corresponding period in 2021. Such increase was primarily attributable to: (i) a better product mix and strong new product sales which resulted in an improvement on the gross profit margin of the Group and (ii) net foreign exchange gain due to the depreciation of Renminbi.

As the Company is still in the course of finalising its unaudited consolidated management accounts for the Year, the information contained in this announcement is only based on the preliminary assessment by the Board of the information currently available to it including but not limited to the draft unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group for the Year, which have not been reviewed nor audited by the auditors of the Company nor reviewed by the audit committee of the Board as at the date of this announcement and may be subject to adjustments upon further review.
