Holding of Montanaro Asset Management in Vacon exceeds the threshold of 5 percent

Vacon Plc (ID 1519966-5) has on 22 April, 2013, received a disclosure under
Chapter 9, Section 5 of the Securities Markets Act, according to which the
holding of Montanaro Asset Management Ltd in Vacon Plc has exceeded the
threshold of 1/20 (5%). According to the disclosure Montanaro Asset Management
Ltd holds 791,681 Vacon Plc's shares, which is 5.18% of Vacon Plc's shares and
votes.

Exceeding the above mentioned threshold is the result of the purchasing of
shares on 18 April 2013.

Vacon Plc has a total of 15,295,000 shares. The company has only one class of
shares and each share entitles to one vote.
