IDENTIFICATION OF LOCKINGTON FAULT
Timpetr a Resource s Limited (“ T impetra”) is pleased to a nnounce t h at the seco n d phase drilling has confirm e d the exist e nce of a wide (0.3 metr e ) fault zone on the west e rn flank of t he Friesian A nticline. This zo n e of lamina t ed quartz-g r aphite and p ug clays is recognised as a signific a nt structur a l domain bounda r y, and has b een identifi e d as the Lo c kington fault.
The fau l t has a reve r se sense of movement w ith the west side forced up over the east side. D istortion of the b e ds is evide n t close to the fault. The fault has re m nant arsenopyrite and p yrite (with l i ttle gold) suggesting that this fault was a principal co n duit for mi n eralising fluids when it w as active. The fault appear s to transect some of th e folds – wh e re this occ u rs the fault u ndergoes a significant f lattening from 75 ° dip to arou n d 45° dip.
Gold-ar s enopyrite m ineralisatio n is intimately associated with this s tructure in f ootwall str a tigraphy, close to fold axis – s ee Figure b e low.
The res u ltant flexur e of the Loc k ington Fault should produce localise fracturing o f the stratigr a phy with the for m ation of suit a ble sites fo r the deposit i on of gold- a rsenopyrite mineralisati o n.
Based o n the experience of the Fosterville M ine, the g o ld mineralis a tion in the L ockington P roject is presum e d to occur where the Lockington Fault trun c ates the west limb of the folded turbidite sequen c e. This int e rsection is w here the m o st significa n t mineralisation is expe c ted to occur and will be the f o cus of plan n ed follow-u p drilling in e arly 2012.
Timpetr a Chief Exe c utive Office r , Dion Cohen said:
“The id e ntification o f the Lockin g ton fault h a s been one of the prim a ry objectiv e s of the co m pany as set out in its prospectus. The Board beli e ves that th e Lockingto n Fault is t h e main co n troller of extensi v e mineralis a tion found i n the Lockin g ton tenem e nts and loc a ting this fau l t is a signifi c ant step forward in defining a future gold resource.”

Statement as to Competency
The Exploration Results in this report have been compiled by Mr Geoff Turner, who is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists, has more than ten years in the estimation, assessment, and evaluation of mineral resources and ore reserves, and has more than 20 years in exploration for the relevant style of mineralisation that is being reported. In these regards, Geoff Turner qualifies as a Competent Person as defined in the 2004 edition of the “Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves”.
Geoff Turner is contracted to Timpetra through his company Exploration Management Services Pty Ltd, and consents to the inclusion in this report of these matters based on the information in the form and context in which it appears.
