Multiconsult nominated for significant contract on the new hospital at Gaustad (nye Rikshospitalet)

Helse Sør-Øst RHF has nominated Multiconsult for the design contract (phase 1)

for the new hospital at Gaustad (nye Rikshospitalet) in Oslo. The contract

involves the pre-design and includes all disciplines in the line of work,

including an option for the detailed planning and construction phase.

Multiconsult's fully owned subsidiary LINK arkitektur, as well as Fabel

Arkitekter, Bølgeblikk arkitekter and Erichsen & Horgen AS are subcontractors.

The new hospital at Gaustad (nye Rikshospitalet) will consist of approximately

140.000m2. The hospital will include regional and national specialties health

care, and will also have responsibility for local hospital functions. The

construction start is planned for 2023, with the end date in 2030. Work on the

pre-design phase will commence during the autumn 2020.

The nomination is subject to standstill period (karenstid) which expires on 14

August 2020.
