Contract award for the new Hammerfest hospital to the Multiconsult group

Sykehusbygg HF and Finnmarkssykehuset (Finnmark hospital) have awarded an EPC

contract to Consto, with LINK arkitektur, Multiconsult and Norconsult as

subcontractors for the pre-design of the new hospital in Hammerfest.

The pre-design phase will begin immediately and will be completed in April 2019.

The total value to the Multiconsult group, including LINK arkitektur is

estimated to approximately NOK 24 million. In addition, the contract includes

options for further phases if the pre-design phase is successful. The board of

Finnmark hospital has granted a total value for the new Hammerfest hospital of

up to NOK 1.95 billion.

New Hammerfest Hospital will include 88 beds, 35 outpatient- and special rooms,

as well as seven rooms for x-ray and radiology. The building will be

approximately 25 000 m2 and include premises for mental health care. The planned

construction start is in 2019 after the pre-design phase has been completed.
