KfW Development Bank exercises options for GET FiT Zambia with Multiconsult

KfW Development Bank exercises options for GET FiT Zambia with Multiconsult

Reference is made to the stock market announcement on 7 May 2018 where

Multiconsult announced a contract award with KfW Development Bank for GET FiT

Zambia.

KfW Development Bank has exercised options for the second phase of the contract.

The options value is approximately NOK 22 million. Multiconsult is tasked with

the implementation of the GET FiT hydropower procurement (100 MW), as well as

follow-ups and supervision. The optional services are extending the project

duration from originally three years to now approximately six years.

The contract with KfW on the GET FiT Programme in Zambia follows the successful

assignment for KfW on the similar programme in Uganda. The assignment involves a

cross-disciplinary team from several departments of Multiconsult's Energy unit.

It provides the team with work for the next five years ahead, and will help

establish a strong position in Zambia.

The project will be run from Multiconsult's office in Oslo and through a local

project office in Zambia. Multiconsult established a branch in Zambia, which

serves as the Secretariat of the Programme - and has now two permanent employees

in Lusaka.
