Significant contract award for Multiconsult ASA

Multiconsult group, including LINK arkitektur AS, as partners in the CURA group

consisting of Multiconsult ASA, Hjellnes Consult AS, Erichsen & Horgen, LINK

Arkitektur AS, Henning Larsen Architects, and Bølgeblikk Architects, has been

awarded the contract from Vestfold Hospital Trust for design of the new Tønsberg

hospital in Vestfold, Norway.

The contract period is for approximately 5 years and comprises a NOK 30-40

million planning and design services phase with significant design and site

-followup options that the CURA group is committed to. The total contract value

including options is estimated to NOK 150-200 million NOK. Work on the first

phase will begin immediately and the majority of the work will be completed

within the first 2-3 years.

Together with LINK arkitektur AS, the total share of the contract for the

Multiconsult group is approximately 50%.

The large and innovative new Tønsberg hospital project is approximately 43 000

square meters and includes buildings for psychiatry, somatic, and a new

emergency center.

The building for somatic will be approximately 31 000 square meters and include

general wards, post office, hotel, new emergency center, children and youth

center, neonatal intensive care, a polyclinic area, waste management, central

bed cleaning, and a heliport among others.

The planned building for psychiatry will be approximately 12 000 square meters,

and will house units which are currently in the existing buildings on the

hospital grounds at Granlibakken. There will be approximately 50 beds and 64

rooms.

The contract will be signed immediately after the expiry of the appeal period on

30 May 2016.
