Multiconsult ASA contract award with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration Region West has selected Multiconsult

ASA to provide a detailed planning, design and impact assessment for the

construction of a high quality transit lane that will secure prioritised

accessibility for the bus between Hillevåg, Stavanger center and Sundekrossen.

The contract value is estimated to approximately NOK 26 million.

Work will begin in August 2016 and should be completed within the next two

years.

The project is part of a large initiative for improving public transportation in

the North Jæren area in the years to come.

50 km of bus lanes are planned to be built as part of the initiative and the bus

lanes will not intercross with other traffic.

The contract will be signed immediately after the expiry of the appeal period on

28 June 2016.
