Multiconsult's subsidiary LINK arkitektur wins a major contract for the new emergency hospital in Västerås

LINK arkitektur, in collaboration with Carlstedt Arkitekter as subcontractor,

has signed a major contract with Region Västmanland for the architectural

assignment of the 85,000 sqm new buildings at the new Västerås hospital in

Sweden.

The contract value is currently estimated to approximately SEK 20 million to

LINK arkitektur for the first phase. In addition, the contract includes options

for the following phases. The first phase will begin immediately and last for

one year. The following phases will last until approximately 2023.

In order to ensure the future of specialist healthcare in sustainable buildings,

a completely new hospital building will be designed. The design will be made

with active choices based on the patient as a central part in specialist care.

The new hospital building will include, among other, emergency room, x-ray,

surgery, sterile technology, intensive care, delivery, neonatal care,

intervention, care units and clinics. In addition, a supply building is also

planned - a prerequisite for being able to build and conduct care in the

hospital area.

LINK Arkitektur is a leading Scandinavian architectural firm with 500 employees
