Extension of existing contract with the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA)

The contract amendment was awarded by the Pakistan Water and Power Development

Authority (WAPDA) to Neelum Jhelum Consultants, the local joint venture with

responsibility for supervising construction work on the 969MW Neelum Jhelum

hydropower project.

The estimate for the work done by Multiconsult ASA related to completion of

tunneling has increased by NOK 30 million and will run for approximately two

years during which time the project should reach commissioning.

Neelum Jhelum is the first underground hydropower project of its kind in

Pakistan and one of the largest projects under construction in the Himalayan

region.
