Scandi Byg wins large framework agreement

The agreement comprises up to 400 social housing homes including in Copenhagen, Albertslund and Valby for Housing Association 3B and KAB

KAB has today announced that Scandi Byg a/s – a subsidiary of the MT Højgaard Group – has won framework agreement 4 of AlmenBolig+, which involves the construction of a pool of social housing. The framework agreement gives the option of building up to 400 homes, but is expected to comprise 320 homes at 4-5 construction sites in Copenhagen, Albertslund and Valby. The agreement has a current value of approx. DKK 320 million.

Scandi Byg has significant collaboration experience with clients, and specifically with AlmenBolig+, where the company is in the process of handing over the remaining of a total of 520 homes for the client, constructed under framework agreement 1. An assessment committee unanimously chose Scandi Byg as the winner, with price and quality being important assessment parameters.

The framework agreement comprises a number of projects with up to 400 homes. The project contains a focus on energy use in the buildings, which must fulfil the Danish Building Regulations 2010 energy requirements for 2020.

The contract is expected to be signed when the deadline for objections expires in mid-July. The agreement is anticipated to have a positive influence on MT Højgaard's revenue and profit in the construction period, which is planned to start in autumn 2013 and end in 2015, but the agreement does not change previously published financial expectations for 2013.
