MOTA-ENGIL CONCLUDES THE SALE OF THE PORTS AND LOGISTICS BUSINESSES

MOTA-ENGIL SGPS, S.A. ("MOTA-ENGIL") informs that following the non-opposition decision of the Portuguese Competition Authority (Autoridade da Concorrência) and the legally and contractually required authorisations from all the remaining entities, it has concluded, today, its ports and logistics businesses' sale to Yildirim Group.

In addition, MOTA-ENGIL informs that the renegotiation process of the Concession of Leixões Container Terminal, included in the transaction, and that would involve a significant investment by the concessionaire and a compensation to re-establish the economic and financial balance of the concession in order to comply with the law and with the contract terms, was not completed to the present date. Due to this fact and in accordance with the agreement, the final proceeds, already received, were €245 million.
